Pedagogia da prevenção: prevenção ao uso de drogas na Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental e Médio Dionísio Hage na Vila de Nova Colônia

Abstract

Given the growth of drug use among young people, it is up to parents and teachers about the orientation of the damage that drugs can cause. For this, the school needs to make an efficient pedagogical work addressing this issue, it is no use pretending that the problem does not exist. The objective of this work is to understand how is the pedagogical work of preventing drug use in school Dionisio Hage. For this, we sought to identify whether students are receiving guidance on preventing drug use, clarify whether the school has developed teaching practices that involve guidance on the use of drugs, identify whether the teacher has shown interest in including the issue drugs in their classes as a form of prevention. Questionnaires were applied to investigate these questions, teachers and students were interviewed. The findings showed that most teachers are not addressing this issue adequately in the classroom with students, and they need training to learn how to deal with this issue. Meanwhile , it was observed students interest in learning more about it, they think it important to address this issue but hardly talk about it in school. It was concluded that drugs are present in the school and the next school community, but this issue has not been addressed in school and that lessons should involve matters of prevention work and educational projects involving school, family and community.
