Degradação humana: reflexões socioambientais a partir da experiência da Fazenda da Esperança nordeste paraense

Abstract

The following work has the theme "human degradation: Social-environmental reflections from the experience of Farm of Hope, Northeast of Paraense. The main objective was to reflect on the human crisis and its consequences for the environment, in the light of the study of the relationship between environmental degradation and human degradation arising from the practice of Farm of Hope, innumerable contemporary crises: economic, educational, ethical, human, environmental, which provoke the desire for a new form of social organization or a new way of remaining in this society, without getting tired of the fruitless pursuit of achieving all the goals it proposed, without transforming their own freedom or quality of life into an interchangeable good of the consumer society. To fulfill this loan, we propose, therefore, to investigate the experience, activities and training used in the process of socioenvironmental recovery of the inmates of Farm of Hope. It is a question of discussing the contributions of this process to overcoming the situation of human degradation and researching the articulation of the tripod "work, coexistence, spirituality" in the process of human, social and spiritual recovery and formation. For a better articulation between objectives, empirical data and theoretical positioning, the structure of this research was not completely closed, but sought to follow a structure gradually imposed to the data, from the comings and goings between theoretical perspectives and empirical observations. As observed in the field, Farm is a response to society in relation to discard and prejudice, because it acts against the contrary, welcoming, helping, teaching, so that the individual returns to society. The Farm of Hope is a prism that throws humanity and, especially on the outskirts, a new light that is expressed in seven aspects that, in turn, reaffirm the life where the roots of death are looming; throws new hopes where the old matrices of hopelessness fall; it launches the culture of the good where it intends to prevail the rotten culture of evil; it throws brightness and solidity where once lay the old rust of weakness and degradation.
