Proposta de melhoria Lean six sigma na redução de não conformidades na produção de blocos de uma empresa do setor gráfico.

Abstract

The present study has as main focus to address improvements in a company's process through the Lean Six Sigma methodology. Approaching Lean Six Sigma in the reduction of non- conformities is justified because this methodology promotes the improvement of processes, making it possible to minimize waste and improve the quality of the final product. In this context, the general objective of the work was to carry out a diagnosis and study with the purpose of defining the main causes of non-conformities in the production of blocks of a company of the graphic sector, through the application of the steps of the DMAIC methodology, intending, in this way , know and understand these problems more deeply and propose solutions compatible with the scenario. The present study consisted of applied exploratory research, with results treated in a qualitative and quantitative way. The planning of the research first included the characterization of the company through interviews conducted in February 2020; quantitative data were obtained through the company's system and subsequently sent via email to the researchers. The studied company operates directly in the graphic industry, present in the market for 32 years and is located in the municipality of Parauapebas, southeastern Pará. It is important to highlight to the reader that this work was configured in applying the DMAIC methodology (method used to implement the Lean Six Sigma), defining, measuring and analyzing the possible bottlenecks of the company and had as its proposal its implementation and control (product of this research), since there was the impossibility of implementing the improvements suggested due to the social isolation caused by the pandemic by (COVID19). From the application of this tool, it was possible to identify non-compliant activities such as non-conforming numbering, printing surplus, non- conforming printing. In this case, solutions were suggested such as the acquisition of new numerators, training of attendants in the system, training of the printer and training of the guillotine operator in the calculation of paper, corrective maintenance in the old printer and the acquisition of a more modern printer, in the conception minimize potential errors during the production process of the blocks. With the application of this tool, the importance of forming an effective project team was clarified, as they are responsible for each step of improvement, and the participation of senior management and industry employees in the process is fundamental, as it ensures reliability in the activity. That said, it is concluded that, with the Lean Six Sigma methodological, there are possibilities for optimization of the results in the company, minimizing costs in the processes, waste of raw material and strengthening the quality, mainly during the configuration of services in the blocks.
