Avaliação econômica da piscicultura em tanques-rede em um parque aquícola na Amazônia oriental brasileira.

Abstract

The objective of this work was to economically evaluate the rearing of pirapitinga Piaractus brachypomus in net-tanks in an unencumbered aquaculture area of the Breu Branco Ill park of the Tucurui Hydroelectric Power Station reservoir, State of Pará. The implementation of enterprises with 8, 16 and 24 net-tanks (7.2 mº) was considered, with the production cost determined by the operating cost structure and the investment analysis carried out through the elaboration of cash flow for a project horizon of ten years. The initial investments were R$27,350.00, R$44,412.00 and R$61,854.00 and the average effective operating costs were R$5.23/kg, R$4.93/kg and R$4.83/kg. The net present value was A of R$9,456.14, R$46,787.40 and R$83,718.53, the internal rate of return of 15%, 28% 33% per year, the benefit-cost ratio of 1.2, 1.3 and 1.3 and the payback period of 4.9, 32 and 2.8 years. Although the indicators attest to the economic viability of the activity for projects with 16 and 24 net tanks, the initial investment and the payback period discourage the implementation of new ventures in the reservoir.
