Planejamento da capacidade produtiva: uma análise bibliométrica sob a ótica da Engenharia de Produção

Abstract

Given the high competitiveness present in the current scenario, organizations need to apply management tools capable of optimizing their operational performance. Therefore, the capacity of productive planning is a fundamental tool for good service to the market and financial excellence to the business. Given the importance of this tool for companies, this article aimed to analyse, in the scientific database of Web of Science, the scientific production on the theme "Planning of productive capacity", to observe the panorama of the literature, the deep understanding of the structure intellectual and conceptual aspects of the academic field, from the perspective of Production Engineering. Bibliometrix R-package software was used to perform a bibliometric analysis of 529 articles between 2018 and November 2022 obtained from the Web of Science database. Descriptive statistics, performance analysis, co-occurrence of keywords and conceptual thematic analysis were combined. The results indicate that the articles were written by 1473 authors and published in 51 different journals. The publication average for the five years analysed is 105.8 articles per year. The country with the highest number of publications and citations was China. The three most recurrent words in the articles were: production capacity planning, optimization and production planning respectively. Five main research clusters were identified: capacity planning, production planning, optimization, uncertainty and supply chain. This article provides an in-depth understanding of the intellectual and conceptual framework of the academic field. It complements existing qualitative reviews and characterization attempts and suggests future research directions.
