Avaliação da comercialização da feira da agricultura familiar e economia solidária no município de Capitão Poço – Pa.

Abstract

Family farming is one of the main reasons that food exists on the consumers table worldwide, despite the huge difficulties faced by farmers, both for the production and selling the products. This way, free fairs are one of the main commercialization ways of the products originated by this type of agriculture, this way, this work aimed to carry out a socioeconomic and productive evaluation of the family agriculture fair and solidarity economy in the city of CapitãoPoço-PA.To perform the research, a questionnaire containing up to 15 questions was applied. The interviewees were family farmers from five localities belonging to the city.From the data analyzed it could be assumed that farmers generally werepooreducated and the majority are over fifty years old, the assistents in food production are on average 2.15 people per family and that on sale only one family member is responsible for the marketing.There was a great diversity of the products traded and during the cultivation the use of chemical pesticides is considered minimal, thus producing a healthier final product.The products transportation tothe fair is made by producers themselves using their own vehicles.Besides the need for one more week day to hold the fair, it is necessary to encourage the city hall and more citizen awareness about the fair that happens every Saturday in the main church square, downtown.Therefore, it is concluded that the farmers income in family agriculture and solidarity economy increased significantly, but that none of the them was confident to explain the increased values, though, this increase contributes positively to family income, but that this is not the only source of income. family income as the investment in the fair is still low and it needs partnerships to expansion would be of great value to leverage the fair success.
